“Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots – but you have to play the ball where it lies” – Bobby Jones

At Change the Game Performance, I am a physical therapist and director of our Golf Department. I specialize in helping golfers, runners and weightlifters. Some conditions I like to treat are ortho injuries: running injuries, golf injuries, weightlifting injuries — you name it, all of these athletes experience many similar injuries BUT the key difference is accounting for what activity they engage in! I also enjoy treating vestibular and neurological conditions. Something patients deal with that I want to help with are aches and pains, tightness, not being able to get over a hurdle in their rehab process, and needing clarity on the direction and path to go to come back stronger.

I like working here because I enjoy continually challenging the status quo to get golfers, runners, and active individuals moving well and performing at their highest potential — and that’s what we do here. We help our clients achieve what success is to them.

    Patient Testimonials

“I have been working with Grant Bishop at Change the Game for five months. I am focused on golf and wanted to increase my flexibility and strength and resolve issues with my weak right hip flexor. Although I see a chiropractor, Grant uncovered the problem was with my abductor. He prescribed exercises and dry needling with an electric current and this weakness no longer exists. This now allows me to leverage my hips in getting through the ball onto my right side. I have also been battling back pain for over 10 years. While I have made improvements working with my chiropractor and exercising, it wasn’t until Grant prescribed an exercise program that has strengthened my core and back and I now seldom have back pain. Even things like getting out of a chair after sitting for a while no longer bother me. I can now attack the golf ball and not come out of my posture. I have the strength to hit downhill, sidehill or uphill shots that were difficult to stay down on and hit through the ball. When I was younger I dislocated my shoulders seven times. I have always been apprehensive in getting the full range of shoulder motion given these traumatic experiences. Grant has been able to increase my range of motion by following an exercise program to overcome anxiety. While increasing flexibility is still the one area I need to focus on, I feel over time between strength training and working with bands to increase my range of motion, I will reach my goal. Grant is truly a professional. His credentials as a PT and Trainer are key to resolving issues. His videos and working with him once a week is the recipe for me to hit the golf goals I have set.” – Rick Lamy

“I joined Change the Game a couple of months ago and was fortunate to be able to work with Dr. Grant Bishop. My challenges were improving my golf game while increasing my fitness and endurance. An added benefit was having someone that could treat the injuries that invariably happen with the golf swing. Dr. Grant covered all those bases. As it relates to golf, he is a certified instructor with TPI. He teaches you how to use biomechanics to make the golf swing body friendly. The fitness and endurance instruction is geared towards golf. And, finally, he uses physical therapy and dry needling to treat areas that need it. I cannot recommend this business and Dr. Grant any more highly!” – Tom Newton

“One word, amazing!!! I don’t know how many of you out there are dealing with pain due to an injury or just the fact that you are aging and you think you can’t do everything you use to. I was suffering for months from a pickleball injury with no relief in sight. I had succumbed to the fact that I was going to have just live with the pain. Then my boss suggested I go see Dr. Grant at Change the Game Performance. I was a little hesitant since I had never been to a physical therapist before. Dr. Grant immediately put me at ease with his easy going attitude and his vast knowledge of how the human body works. He identified my hip pain was a result of my injured ankle and the bodies way of compensating for a muscular deficiency. We then set up a schedule that worked with my schedule and after a few sessions I was pain free!!! If you haven’t tried dry needling, it is a game changer. I can not say enough about how amazing this organization is and the staff that run it!” – Rueger Houck
